Little Town, Big Taste

Yesterday's Art of Brunch took place at Little Town in Hoboken, NJ located at 310 Sinatra Drive.  The Manzo bros did an amazing job with this restaurant from the branding, to the cool vibe, and even the clever names of cocktails and dishes… all paying homage to Jersey.  Everything in Little Town is produced locally in the Garden State; wines, beers, and produce. I think that really sets them apart from the average Hoboken hot spot, it really does have a warm family setting. I have eaten here once before when they first opened for some apps on a Friday night, but the brunch is definitely something buzz worthy.

The only word I can think of to describe my brunch experience at Little Town is orgasmic (literally).  Big bold plates, family style, tons of flavor, and small updated elements on classic dishes. Completely reinventing the meaning of brunch, it was done right.  Their blueberry mimosa is one of the best I have ever tasted and the bellini topped with fresh strawberries was to die for. Toronto born and Cali raised Executive Chef Jordan Andino (who is a total dream boat btw) really gave us the five star treatment. Chef Jordan has been featured in The New York Post, CBS, FOX, WTJ, and the Food Network's Chopped. His California upbringing and knack for soul food really stood out in every dish presented.

We started out with the Little Town ceviche (Chef's choice).  Due to the fact that I have a Latin background, and lived in South Florida for 4 years, I've become the ultimate ceviche critic. I honestly have to say that Chef Jordan's version was perfection, not too watery, tons of guacamole, fresh shrimp, and hand made crispy potato chips. *highly recommend* For our main course I ordered the Vanilla bean french toast and Naty ordered the blueberry compote stuffed pancakes. The french toast was surprisingly light and packed with cinnamon (AHmazing) & Naty loved the pancakes, filled with blueberry goodness.  Both dished were served with roasted potatoes and crispy well done bacon which was out-of-this-world.

Literally when we were both ready to fall over from a food comma Chef Jordan brought out his version of an "Animal Style" ( showing some LA ❤)  funnel cake topped with fresh blueberries, homemade vanilla ice-cream, and powdered sugar. Seriously one of the best brunches I've had, it's going to be really hard to top this one!

Thank you to the amazing staff at Little Town, Chef Jordan Andino, and their fab PR team at Funbars for having us! Also special thanks to my blogger babe Naty Michele of A Love Affair With Fashion for partaking in this Sunday's adventure.

I highly recommend brunching here- must try the blueberry mimosa.
